City tour of Bangalore - city with its century’s - old trees, sub-tropical herbs and well laid out gardens. Visit the beautiful botanical gardens of ‘Lal Bagh’, the ‘Nandi Bull Temple’, the impressive building of the ‘Vidhana Souda’ (Secretariat). Continue onwards to the ‘Palace of Tipu Sultan’. It was started by Hyder Ali and completed by Tipu Sultan. One of the three summer palaces built by the two Mysore rulers, it is made entirely of wood, except for the internal pillar supports. Within are gloriously painted walls, ceilings, balconies in red, black and gold. Bangalore has rapidly become an important industrial centre and, has been nicknamed the 'Silicon Valley' of India.

"Bannerghatta National Park” (15miles). Around the sanctuary’s entrance office is a safari-park, or open style zoo with the Asiatic lion, tiger, elephant, gaur and a few other species. Beyond the park, you enter in jeeps - a wild forest that’s home to a small elephant herd, chital, wild boar, a few leopards and a large variety of birds.

Evening :Bangalore is one of the few Indian cities with real claim to night life. Pubs in particular have really taken off in recent years. Bangalore also has a number of places for dancing, usually a mixture of Hip-hop, Bhangra, Raga and old disco.

Visit to the ‘Nrityagram Dance Village’. Designed by a French architects a school and performance centre for various forms of Indian Classical Dance, the village won an award for its design. The tour includes some absolutely beautiful displays of classical dance and a vegetarian lunch made from produce grown in the village.

Explore exciting Bangalore - one of Asia’s fastest growing cities. It is also the prime shopping centre of the south famous for its fine silk, particularly traditional Mysore silk saris. Other good buys include rosewood, sandalwood, lacquer ware and wooden inlay items.
