Beach TravelBeaches of Goa:Goa – a home of world class unspilt pristine white sand beaches spread over 100 kms of Konkan cost. Goa provides a wide range in beaches to sutit everyone's taste. Goa has beaches away from human habitation with no basic accommodation facilities. In other side there are beaches spread all around with world class modern accommodation with luxury resort by the sea. These beaches are equipped with Massage parlers, internet and phone cafes, gym, Swimming pool and night clubs, Restaurants and bars etc. Beaches in North Goa : North Goa Beaches start from Fort Aguada near Panaji city and goes towards Northern border towards Maharasthra. Right from first beache of Fort Aguada Beach a stretch of sand lies waiting for tourists. Some of the beaches in North Goa are Sinquerim, Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Vagator, Morjim and Arambol are the beaches that can be covered in the North Goa Circuit. Beaches in South Goa : Beaches in South Goa starts from Margao the second important beach in Goa. Margao Railway Station connects by train to Mumbai, Cochin and Mangalore etc. Beaches in South Goa starts from Majorda beach, a 20 kms long silver white sand stretches goes till Cabo de Rama. Some of the beaches in South Goa are Velsao, Majorda, Betalbatim, Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim, Mobor and Betul beaches. All these beaches are interconnected with each other. Beaches in Tamilnadu: Tamil Nadu has some of nice blue beaches. A 12 kms long stretch of Marina Beach which is Pride of Chennai. Cavelong beach is far from the city and situated in calm and quit atmosphere. Marina Beach – Marina Beach is located to the east side of Chennai, adjoining the Bay of Bengal. One can have excellent Sunset views from Marina Beach. Water current underwater at Marina Beach is very rough and swimming and bathing here is not recommended. Some people still come here and jump into the waters for swimming. One can experience local flavor in the evening at Marina Beach when many locals reach and food stalls come alive beside other entertainments. Being close to Chennai city many tourists come to experience the beach and enjoy the local flavor. Elliot Beach – Elliot Beach used to be bathing beach in past, but now because of good connectivity Elliot Beach is favourite among younger generation because of Good roads, pavements, illuminated sands. Covelong – A Past Fishing village aournd 40 kms away from Chennai towards mahabalipuram is now a Beach Resort. Mamallapuram – Mahabalipuram Beach is situated around 58 kms towards south of Chennai. Mahabalipuram has a beautiful beach spread over 20 kms of area. Mahabalipurm was a port during Pallava dynasty. Beside beach Mahabalipuram is also known for its rock cut temples. Mahabalipuram is a fine tourist destination and having Crocodile Farm, Schools of Art and sculpture, and snake fams etc. Kanyakumari Beach - situated at the southern most of India where the Arabian, Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal meet.Kanyakumari is an important pilgrim center, famous for its spectacular sunrises and sunsets especially on full moon days. Lighthouse offers some of panoramic views of the surroundings. Beside Beach there is a Government museum which has a collection of sculptural and art crafts of the state of Tamil Nadu. Beaches in Andhra Pradesh : Andhra Pradesh has some of most scenic beaches. 8 district of Andhra Pradesh our of 23 are have direct access to the sea where one can enjoy a breathtaking beauty. Beaches here are unspoiled and are good for beach holidays where one can have sunbath with nature around. Bheemunipatnam Beach - One of the most attractive and matchless beach in the state. This beach is considered safest beach site in the state of Andhra Pradesh and has one of the world class sea resort. Ramakrishna Beach - Situated near Vishakhapatnam is a picturesque with calm waters and due to its close vicinity to the city this beach is most visited by locals as well as tourists. Manginapudi Beach - This beach is becomes more important because of historical port city with magnificent sites around and a popular health resort. Mypad Beach - Situated in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh is most beautiful coastline with lush green surroundings and sun kissed sands. Rishikonda Beach - Just 8 kms from Vishakapatnam is unspoilt golden beach and good for water sport like sind surfering, water ski and swimmers. Andaman and Nicobar : Andaman and Nicobar islands were habitant of Aboriginal Tribes originally during pre-historic time. British settlement reached here in 1789 but they left in 1796. Second settlement came here in 1858 and followed by settlements of some of criminal Tribes from Central and United provinces, refugees from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Andaman and Nicobar is home for Sandy beaches of the islands around and are famous for turtle nesting. One can find some important species of turtles including Green Sea Turtle, Leather Back Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Olive Ridley Turtle. Karmatang Beach - These beaches are situated deep inside in northern part of Andaman where one can travel by road from Port Blair around 240 kms and than by boat around 135 kms. Ramnagar Beach - A sandy beach located at Diglipur Island and connected by two daily boat services from Mayabunder and from Port Blair twice a week. Beaches in Karnataka : Karwar Beach - Karwar is a perfect beach holidation with gentle waves, long stretches of Golden Sands and acres of Emerald foliage. The landscapes are surrounded by thick woods, hills, and deep valleys. Karwar enspired Rabindranath Tagore to write his first play. There are some of the interesting places in and around karwar which can be enjoyed the visitors like The Sadashiygad hill Fort which also has a temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, Octagonal Churs, Venkatrama Temple with Ochre Paintings around 300 years old and Naganatha Temple. Kurumgad Beach - Situated around 4 kms away from the mainland, this tortoise-shaped island is known for hilltop Narasimha Temple invites thousands of devotees during the annual yatra held on Pushya Purnima every year in the month January. This is ideal place for Diving, snorkeling, boat ride, see Dolphin and seal, fishing or trekking. Gokarna Beach - Gokarna - a town with narrow streets, temples and house in tradition style derives its name from a legend which has become favorite for Hindu Pilgrims and beach lovers. This villages is in the shap of ear and situated in the influence of two rivers. There are total fine beaches named Gokarna, Om Beach, Kudle, Half Moon and Paradise, Drive to Gokarna is through winding roads with rocky mountains and western ghats in one side and Arabian sea on other. Beaches In Orissa : Chandipur beach - Situated around 16 kms from balasore Railway Station on Howrah to Chennai rail line offer a unique sight. It is very rare to see the sea here receding around 5 kms and than its return. This is one of the few beaches of the world where sea recedes upto 5 kms every day during low tide. There are other places of interest around Chandipur like Remuna Panchalingeswar, Aradi and Chandeneswar. Gopalpur on Sea - Gopalpur on Sea beach with its golden sand of the blue sea has charm of its own. Gopalpur on Sea beach is quite and clean compare to other places to swim and sun bathe. Beach is ideal for sailing and surfing and fairly isolated and remains undisturbed. Puri Beach - Puri beach is situated 65 kms from Bhubaneshwar and 35 kms from Sun Temple at Konark. The beach is renowned for sand sculptures created by the internationally famed Sudarshan Patnaik. Generally subjects are inspired by sculptures covering temple walls. Characters and episodes from the mythology and contemporary events. Puri Beach offers opportunity to witness stirking Sunrise and Sunset from the same beach. Puri is also home to Lord Jagannah and temple attracts thousands of visitors every year. |
