Beaches & backwaters Tour

Tour Itinerary :

Day 01 - Arrive Mumbai

On arrival, meeting and greetings at Mumbai’s international airport and & transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 - Mumbai
Morning after breakfast at the hotel tour of Mumbai city starting from the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales, Rajabai Clock Tower, Flora Fountain and drive past Marine Drive and Victoria Terminus. and the High Court (in the Gothic architectural style) drive we reach Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens, and while returning back to the Hotel we visit Crawford Market. Evening free time for independent activities.  Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 - Mumbai - Trivandrum - Kovalam- Fly
Morning after buffet breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport to board Jet Airways flight for Trivandrum at 10.40 AM. Meeting on arrival at Trivandrum airport and transfer to the beach resort at Kovalam. Rest of the day at leisure by the beach.  You have an option for Ayurveda Massage at our hotel if interested. Overnight at hotel.

Trivandrum, the capital of beautiful Kerala lies in the southwest coast of India. The city is officially known as Thiruvananthapuram. The city gets its name from the word, Thiruvananthapuram, meaning the city of Anantha or the abode of the sacred Serpent Anantha on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity, reclines. Trivandrum is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. The city of Trivandrum has a prominent history. Trade had started in the place as far back as 190 AD. It was the capital of the erstwhile Travancore state. After independence, it was made the capital of Kerala.

Kovalam beach is located at a small distance of just 16 kilometres from Thiruvananthapuram. Infact, along the 600 kilometre length of the Kerala coast, there are numerous big and small beaches. But Kovalam stands apart from the others for its breathtaking beauty, sunset cruises and water sports.

Day 04 - At Kovalam
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel proceed for half day tour of Trivandrum city where you will visit - the Padmanabhaswami temple with its gopuram (tower) soaring majestically upwards, is believed to be one of the 108 shrines sacred to the Vaishnavites in India,  Observatory, Museum, Art Gallery and the city.   Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 - Kovalam - Kumarakom
This morning after buffet breakfast at the hotel proceed to reach Jetty to board Deluxe houseboat and sail through famous back waters of Kerala to reach Kumarakom - the backwater country . Lunch and dinner will be serviced on board.  Overnight on board the houseboat at Kumarakom.

Day 06 - Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast at the houseboat disembark and check in at one of the beach resort. Rest of the day free to relax by the beach or explore adjoining Vembanad bird sanctuary.  If you are adventurous enough, you can indulge in water sports such as Wind Sailing & Water Skiing. You can even take a canoe out into the quiet lakes. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 - Kumarakom - Thekkady
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed to Periyar National Park by car. Getting to Periyar is as sublime as the destination itself. A scenic journey past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular water falls & delightful trekking trails form the access to your hide way here. On arrival check into hotel, refresh yourself & be relaxed. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 - Thekkady
Tiger ! Isn't the word exciting & horrifying too ! Today you might have an opportunity to meet the beast. Come! Let's pierce into the Den & go to Periyar Tiger Reserve. Trekking with a local guide familiarizes you to the rare birds, trees & flowers that are come across here. You can even set upon a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat. Like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09 - Thekkady - Cochin
Today morning drive to Cochin, On arrival in "Queen Of The Arabian Sea" check into hotel. Afternoon free to relax. In the evening enjoy Kathakali dance show. Kerala renowned through out the world for its harmonious blending of poetry, music, costumes and gestures to narrate stories from Indian Epics. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 - At Cochin
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed for a city tour covering: Jewish Synagogue - Built in 1568 the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth stands, adorned by hundreds of exquisite hand - painted Chinese tiles in blue & white. St. Francis Church Originally, built out of wood in 1503 and thus earning fame as the oldest European church in India. Vasco de gama was buried there. Dutch Palace - As you climb its stone steps, you enter a different world of Palanquins and heraldry, jewels and rich murals. Roam about in the cobbled streets.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 - Cochin to Bangalore - Fly
Morning after breakfast at the hotel Transfer to airport to board flight to Cochin at 8.30 AM. On arrival at Bangalore airport at  9.45 AM, meet, assist and transfer to the hotel.  Rest of the afternoon free to relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.  

Afternoon proceed for a half day sight seeing tour of Bangalore City. The states capital and India’s sixth largest city. Bangalore’s reputation as a Garden city. Includes Lalbagh, The superb botanical garden laid out by Haidar Ali in 1760.Tipu sultan added a wealth of plants and tree from many countries. Bull Temple, The Monolithic Nandi Bull is believed to have grown in size and now measures nearly 5m. in the height and over 6m. In length it is made of grey granite. And Tipu’s summer Palace, to the south was started by Haidar Ali and completed by his son Tipu Sultan in 1789. The structure has a substantial amount of wood with walls and ceiling painted in brilliant colours with beautiful carvings. Back to the hotel.  Overnight in Bangalore.

Day 12  -  BANGALORE to MYSORE
After Breakfast drive to Mysore (139Kms) the city of Royal palaces, sandalwood and the manufacture of incense sticks, Mysore has a pleasant climate, some beautiful parks and the former capital of  the Princely state. Srirangam Fort, The summer capital of Tipu sultan can be visited enroute to Mysore.

Arrival check into the hotel. Later half visit The Tipu sultan’s beautiful summer palace built in 1784, in its lovely garden. It is “an absolute jewel”.  Overnight in Mysore.

Day 13 - At Mysore
Full day is left free for your to explore this princely estate on your own.  Car will remain at your disposal to be used in the city.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 - Mysore to Bangalore
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel proceed to Bangalore and check in at the hotel on arrival.  Rest of the day free to explore Bangalore on your own.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15- Bangalore to Goa - Fly
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport to board flight for Goa at 1 PM.  Meeting on arrival at Goa airport and transfer to the hotel.  Rest of day free to relax by the beach.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 - At Goa
Morning after breakfast at the resort proceed to visit Old Goa where you will see Old Goa Churches, Capital city of Panaji, Miramar and Dona Paula beaches.

Afternoon free to relax by the beach.  Overnight at the resort.

Day 17- Goa to Mumbai- Fly
Morning free to relax by the beach before your take off for Mumbai. Later morning transfer to the airport to board flight for Mumbai at 1.40 PM.  Meeting on arrival at Mumbai airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 18- Depart Mumbai
Transfer to the airport in time to board flight for onward destination.
