Located in the north-east part of India, Aizawl is the capital of Mizoram state. With the population of 291,822, it is the largest city of state and also centre of most of the government offices.

Geographically, located on the Tropic of Cancer, Aizawl has also various tourists' attraction. However, important attractions are:
Solomon Temple: Operated by Kohran Thianghlim of Mizoram, it is a huge temple complex. It is located in Kidron Valley in Chawlhhmun.

Mizoram State Museum: Located at the centre of the town, it is the store house of local Mizo tradition and culture.
Khuangchera Puk: Located at the distance of about 30 km from Aizawl in Ailawng, it is a beautiful cave.
Bara Bazar: It is the shopping centre of Aizawl. There is steep zone; you can get here various shops and stalls selling various items and goods. In addition, here you can also buy the locally manufactured products as well the products imported from China.
Reiek Tourist Resort: Located at the altitude of 1548 meters, at the distance of about 12 km from Aizawl, it is popular tourists' spot.
Berawtlang Tourist Complex: It is a wonderful recreational centre where you can enjoy the local cultural activities.
Durtlang Hills: Located in the north of Aizawl, it is a wonderful landscape.

How to Reach??
By Road: Aizawl is directly connected with Silchar through NH 54, NH 40 connects it with Agartala, and NH 150 connects it with Imphal.
By Rail: The rail system in Aizawl is not well developed rather it is in progress.
By Air: The nearest airport is Lengpui Airport; it is directly connected with Imphal Airport and Kolkata Airport.
