Located in the north-east region of India, Itanagar is the capital of state Arunachal Pradesh. Administratively placed in Papum Pare District of the state, the city has all modern facilities. By virtue of being the capital of state, you can see here assembly and all administrative buildings.

Besides, the city is also education centre of the state Arunachal Pradesh as well as neighbouring states. It has many premier institutions such as North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), which has been founded by the former President of India Late Giani Zail Singh. Important programs offered here are engineering, applied science and management.

Moreover, the city's economy mainly depends upon the agriculture and some other small scale businesses.

How to Reach??
By Road: A well developed network of roads connects Itanagar with all other important cities of Arunachal Pradesh and other neighbouring states including Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. However, Guwahati is the main city from where you can take bus for Itanagar.
By Rail: Itanagar has no railway track.
By Air: Located at the distance of about 67 km from Itanagar, Lilabari Airport is the nearest airport from where helicopter service is regularly available. It is located in Assam; from here you need to take bus to reach Itanagar.
