Located in the north-east part of the state Rajasthan, Sariska Tiger Reserve is a National Park of India. Located in Alwar District of Rajasthan, it has been established as ‘Wild Reserve’ in the year 1955. Formerly, it was a forest area with different species of flora and fauna and the region had been largely used for hunting. However, to conserve the wildlife of this region, it has been conserved as Tiger Reserve in the year 1978 that covers 866 sq. meters area.

Of course, this national park has different species of wildlife but among all, Bengal Tiger is the most fascinating wildlife of Sariska. Furthermore, it is interesting to share that Sariska Tiger Reserve is first such kind of Tiger Reserve in the world where tigers have been relocated successfully and subsequently, the tigers also get adapted in its new environment easily. Above all, geographically, located in Aravalli Range, the region has rich mineral resource. However, to conserve the environment, mineral mining is banned; but marble mining is still going on.

How to Reach??

By Road: Located at the distance of 150 kms from state capital Jaipur and about 160 kms from Delhi, the park can be easily reached by buses. NH 8 is directly connected with Delhi and NH 11 is directly connected with Jaipur. Alwar is the main centre of the region. However, for the full enjoy of Sariska tour, you can also hire private small vehicle, which is easily available either from Delhi or from Jaipur.

By Rail: Located at the distance of about 35 kms, Alwar is the nearest Railway Station and it is linked with various other major and minor cities of India.

By Air: Located nearly in the middle of Jaipur and Delhi, the Jaipur is the nearest domestic airport and the Delhi is the nearest international airport.
