Kolkata - the city of Joy, is the nerve centre of intellect and
human values, where many modern movements began in art, cinema
and theatre, science and industry. The gateway to the East - it
is a city with rich heritage, bustling streets and bewildering
variety of facets. BHUBANESWAR, the "Temple City of India"-
an important Hindu pilgrimage center, where temple building activities
of Orissan style flowered from its very inception to its fullest
culmination extending over a period of over one thousand years.
The magnificent Sun Temple at KONARK is the culmination of Orissan
temple architecture, and one of the most stunning monuments of
religious architecture in the world. The poet Rabindranath Tagore
said of Konark that 'here the language of stone surpasses the
language of man', and truly the experience of Konark is impossible
to translate into words. PURI - One of the four celebrated religious
centers of India- the abode of Lord Jagannath, has a round the
year sunny beach.
Day 01 Arrive at Kolkatta and transfer to hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 02 Morning city tour of Kolkatta. afternoon board flight
to Bhubneshwar. Overnight
Day 03 Morning tour of Bhubneshwar and later leave by surface
for Puri enroute visiting Raghurajpur - Patta painting village,
Ashokan Rock Edict, Dhauli Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at the
Hotel.
Day 04 Stay at Puri. Later visit Konark sun temple complex.
Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 05 Morning drive to Bhubneshwar and transfer to airport
or railway station for journey to onward destination
