India and Nepal Tour Itinerary:

Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
Meeting and greetings on arrival at Delhi's international airport and transfer to the hotel t for overnight stay.

Day 02 - Delhi – Mandawa (275 kms - 6 hours)
Morning after buffet breakfast at the hotel checkout and proceed to Mandawa by car Enroute visiting Dundlod. Check in at Hotel on arrival. Afternoon visit compact little town of Shekhavati region comprising of Forts and Havelis of beautiful frescoes. While touring this town a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the bustling bazaar.
Overnight at the Fort hotel.

Day 03 - Mandawa – Bikaner (185 kms - 4 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Bikaner and check in at Family guest House on arrival.
Later in the afternoon proceed for an excursion tour to Deshnok Temple situated in semi desert village at a distance of 30 kms, this place is famous for Karnimata Temple where you will see thousands of rats roaming freely in the temple complex and are held sacred.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 – At Bikaner
Morning after breakfast at the hotel commence sight seeing tour of Bikaner covering Junagarh Fort – constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh, Bandh Sagar Temple – The 16th century Jain temple, Camel Breeding Farm – a unique experience where you can ride on a camel & have perhaps the first taste of camel's milk. Overnight at hotel. Evening free to explore this town on your onw.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 – Bikaner / Proceed to Jaisalmer by car (6 hours)
Afternoon breakfast at the hotel drive to Jaisalmer by car in around 6 hours and check in at hotel Himmatgarh. Rest of the evening is free to relax at the hotel.

Day 06 – Jaisalmer / leave by car for Sam Sand Dunes
Morning sight seeing tour of Jaisalmer city visiting The Golden Fort of 99 Bastions, Manek Chowk, Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Haveli (the old Mansions with lattice work done on the walls).

Afternoon proceed to Sam Sand Dunes (1 hour drive). Check in at Swiss Cottage tented camp on arrival. Later in the evening commence Camel ride through the deserts and see beautiful Sunset view. Buffet dinner at the camp. Your evening will be entertained with folk dances, puppet show and music by the camp fire.

Day 07 - Sam Sand Dunes / Jodhpur (1 hours)
Breakfast at the camp. Drive from Sam to Jodhpur (6 hours). On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon tour of Jodhpur which will include a visit to the Mehrangarh Fort set on the top of the hill, Jaswanth Thada and a visit to the local market.

Day 08 - Jodhpur / Ranakpur / Kumbhalgarh / Udaipur (8 Hours)
Morning after breakfast drive to Udaipur enroute visit Jain Temple Complex at Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh. Ranakpur - Sprawling over 48,000 sq.feet, the temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars - all distinctly carved. Continue on to Kumbhalgarh. Check in at Hotel on arrival. Kumbhalgarh - located in the Aravali Hills. It derives its name name after the impressive historic fort of Kumbhalgarh spread in 578 sq Kms in area and has an altitude of 500m to 1,300m. Kumbhalgarh is home to a large variety of wild life, some of which are highly endangered species. The wild life includes wolf, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, smabhar, nilgai, chaisingh (the four horned antelope), chinkara and hare.

The bird life at Kumbhalgarh is also gratifying. The normally shy and untrusted grey jungle fowl can be spotted here. Peacocks and Doves can be sighted regularly feeding on grains scattered by the jungle guards. Bird like the red spur owls, Parakeets, golden Oriole, grey Pigeons, Bulbul, Dove and white breasted kingfisher can also be seen near the water holes.

City tour of Udaipur the romantic Lake City in Southern Rajasthan, famous for the stunning white marble Palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola. It was the former Palace of the Maharana and now converted to one of the most glamorous hotels in India. Arrive Udaipur and check in at Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09 - At Udaipur
Morning tour of Udaipur city. The tour will cover the magnificent City Palace, the Jagdish temple, the pleasure gardens and a drive around the other nearby lakes. Afternoon explore this city of lakes on your own.

Day 10 – Udaipur to– Leave for Jaipur with a stop at Pushkar
Morning after buffet breakfast at the hotel proceed by car to Pushkar. Visit Brahma Temple (only temple being worshiped in India), Holy lake of Pushkar and the town. After your visit to this holy town continue on to Jaipur and check in at the hotel on arrival. Rest of the evening free to relax from long day's drive.

Day 11 - At Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort where you will enjoy an Elephant ride.
Morning after breakfast at the hotel visit Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the state until 1728. The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake, which reflects its terraces and ramparts. Visit the Jagmandir the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors, Jal Mahal and the Temple of Kali. You ride up to the ramp of this 11th Century Bastion atop a gaily decorated elephant.

City sightseeing tour includes Maharaja's City Palace - which occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh, but other additions are much more recent, some dating from the start of this century. Today, the palace is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The palace now houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, fine specimens of Rajput and Mughal paintings and weapons. Also visit Jantar Mantar- an observatory, next to the entrance of the City Palace, begun by Jai Singh in 1728. Jai Singh's passion for astronomy was even more notable than his prowess as warrior and before commencing construction, he sent scholars abroad to study foreign observatories. Jantar Mantar appears to be just a curious collection of sculptures but in fact each construction has a specific purpose, such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths and calculating eclipses.

Day 12 - Jaipur / Agra - Drive - 5 hours
Morning drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Check in at the HOTEL. Afternoon visit Agra city including Taj Mahal.
Fatehpur Sikri 40 kms (25 miles) before Agra - a cultural and imperial capital conceived and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings within the city including Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti and Panch Mahal.

Afternoon visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, whose death in childbirth in 1631 left the Emperor so heartbroken that his hair is said to have turned gray overnight. Construction of the Taj, begun in the same year, was not completed until 1653. In total 20,000 people from India and Central Asia worked on the building. The Taj Mahal is like a silent rhapsody that you will carry in your heart. Also visit Agra Fort, constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1695 on the banks of the Yamuna River. Initially the fort was a military structure, but during Shah Jahan's reign it had partially become a palace.

Day 13 – Agra / Delhi
Early morning your driver will take you to trans Yamuna to view the Taj Mahal from other end of the river at Sunrise. Return to hotel and after relaxed breakfast proceed to Delhi to reach in around 4 and half hours time. Check in at Hotel on arrival for overnight stay. Rest of the evening free to relax and enjoy the facilities available at the hotel or at the swimming pool.

Day 14 – Delhi to Kathmandu
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel transfer to international airport to board flight S2 for Kathmandu at 1.15 PM. Meeting on arrival at Kathmandu airport on arrival at 3 PM and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day free to relax.

Day 15 – At Kathmandu
Morning after breakfast Sightseeing tour of KATHMANDU CITY and its Darbar Square visiting The Hanumandhoka, Kathmandu's Durbar Square with its old temples and palaces, epitomises the religious and cultural life of the people. Also visit the Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 AD, the temple of Kal Bhairav - the God of destruction and the temple of Kumari (Vestal Virgin) or the Living Goddess, visit Kasthamandap, SWOYHUMBHUNATH STUPA and PATAN CITY visiting Durbar Square, Mahaboudha, Krishna Mandir and Hirayana Mahabihar Temple (The Golden Temple).

Day 16 – Kathmandu to Pokhara
Morning after breakfast leave for Pokhara by car in around 5 to 6 hours time. Check in at hotel on arrival. Pokhara is a legendary lake valley of Nepal lying quite relaxed on the lap of the most magnificent range of Annapurna range of Mountains. On arrival check into the hotel. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Phewa and sightseeing on Pokhara town. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 17 - Pokharra – Dhampus (1650m)
Duration: 30 Minutes drive to Phedi & 03 hrs trek
Morning after breakfast comment your trek by little bit down hill along the village and steep climb up to Dhampus for the great Himalayan views. From Dhampus you can see Annapurna south, Machapuchre, Hiuchuli & Annapurna ranges.

Day 18 - Dhampus - Naudanda – Sarankot (1592m.)
Duration: 6 hrs.
Early morning after the breakfast walk through the dense rhododendron forest with the beauties of nature around. Trek down to Naudanda and walk along the rough road to Sarangkot to sunset view of Himalayan Panorama. O/ N in hotel / lodge.

Day 19 - Sarankot – Pokhara Duration: 2 1/2 hrs.
Early Morning sunrise view of Himalayan Panorama from Sarankot (If weather permitted). You can see all Annapurna Himalayan ranges from Sarankot including Dhawlagiri, Hiuchuli, Machhapuchre. After breakfast 02 hours trek down to Pokhara Fewa Lake. Check in at Hotel.

Day 20 - Pokhara - Kathamndu
Morning after breakfast leave for Kathamndu by car in around 5 hours time, on arrival check into hotel Vaishali. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 21 – At Kathmandu
Full day free for independent activities and to explore more of Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 22 – Kathmandu to Varanasi
Morning after relaxed breakfast transfer to the airport in order to board Indian Airlines flight IC 752 for Varanasi at 2.10 PM. Meeting on arrival at Varanasi Airport at 2.50 PM and transfer to the hotel for check in. Rest of the evening free to relax or explore a little of this religious city on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 23 - At Varanasi
Early morning proceed to River Ganges for boat ride at dawn followed by temple tour.
VARANASI CITY : The consists of visiting the city temples – the durga temple, better known as the Monkey temple on account of the large number of monkeys residing there and the temple of Vishwanath (or Vesheshwar "Lord of the Universe") are the most sacred spots in the city. Visit will also include Bharat Mata or Mother India Temple and the Benares Hindu University.

Afternoon commence tour to visit SARNATH : 10 kms from the centre of the city, Sarnath symbolises the birth of Buddhism. It was here that Lord Buddha revealed his doctrine and founded his monastic community. The Museum at Sarnath is amongst the most important in India and contains carvings representing a whole range of styles - Archaic, the covering work of sculptors from 3rd century B.C. to the 12th century A.D. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 24 – Varanasi to Khajuraho
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport in time to board flight for Khajuraho at 12 PM. Arrive Khajuraho at 1 PM, meeting at the airport and transfer to for check in. Afternoon commence sightseeing tour to visit Khajuraho temples.

KHAJURAHO CITY : Founded in the 9th and 10th century by the rulers of Chandela Dynasty, influenced by tantrism, in eroticism becomes a theme of philosophical interest and the aim is submlimation of sexual relationship in the sexual act or "Maithun", women being regarded as the incarnation of the divine energy or "Shakti". There is a possibility that the Khajuraho was influenced by "Kama Sutra". Temples you will visit are the Kandariya Mahadeo, the largest and most typical Khajuraho temple, high.Chaunsat Yogini, the only granite temple and the earliest surviving shrine of the group (900 A.D.) - dedicated to Goddess Kali. Chitragupta Temple - dedicated to the Sun God or Surya. Vishwanath temple - a three headed image of Brahma is enshrined in this temple, and various other temples. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 25 – Khajuraho to Orchha
Morning after breakfast at the hotel time free to explore more of Khajuraho. Later proceed to Orchha to reach in around 3 and half hours time and check in at hotel. Orchha - medieval city of Orchha. Orchha which has hardly been touched by the hands of Time. Orchha is famous for its palaces and temples built in the 17th and 18th century. The four main and important temples worth a visit are The Chaturbhuj, Janaki, Laxmi and The Raja Ram temples. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 26 – Orchha / Jhansi / Delhi
Morning after breakfast at the hotel explore more of these medieval temples. Afternoon transfer to Jhansi Railway Station to board superfast Shatabdi Express train for Delhi at 5.56 PM. Meeting on arrival at New Delhi Railway Station at 10.30 PM and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 27 – Delhi sightseeing and Depart Delhi
Morning after breakfast combined tour of Old and New Delhi.
Old Delhi visiting Red Fort, Jama Mosque, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat. New Delhi visiting Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple or Bahai Temple, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, President's Palace, Parliament House and Secretariat Buildings.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 28 – Depart Delhi Transfer to Airport to board homebound flight.
