Hemkund Sahib Yatra ( 11 Days / 10 Nights )

Duration: 11 Days / 10 Nights

Destination: Delhi to Hardwar - Hardwar to Joshimath - Joshimath to Govind Ghat - Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria –Excursion to Valley of Flower - Ghangaria - Badrinath - Badrinath to Rishikesh - Rishikesh to Delhi .

Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
Meeting and greetings on arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 – At Delhi
Early morning visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, return to the hotel for breakfast, later proceed to visit Gurudwara Rakabganj and Sheesh ganj followed by visiting Chandni chowk, Jama Mosque, Red fort and Rajghat.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 - Delhi to Hardwar – Drive 5/6 hours
Morning after breakfast at the hotel drive to Hardwar and check in Hotel. Afternoon visit various temples in Haridwar. Evening visit Har Ki Pauri and attend evening Ganga Arati. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 - Haridwar to Joshimath – 8 hours
Morning after an early breakfast drive to Joshimath and check into the Hotel on arrival. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the hotel. Joshimath - is the base for trekking to the famous Valley Of Flowers and holy Hemkund Sahib ji. The season here is short lived: it starts from mid-July and lasts till end-August.

Day 05 - Joshimath to Govind Ghat (22kms drive) to Ghangaria (Trek 13kms)
Morning after early breakfast drive to Govindghat and commence trek to Ghangaria (3000 mts). Check into the Hotel/camp on arrival.

Day 06 - Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria (Trek 5 ½ kms/ 5 hour each way)
Very early in the morning proceed for darshan of Shree Hemund Sahib. Hemund is situated on the shores of the Hemkund lake (4320 mtrs). Hemkund Sahib is the place where Guru Govind Singh ji (the tenth and last Sikh Guru) unified with God after prolonged meditation in his previous birth. The guru's autobiography which contains a description of the place helped two devout Sikhs, Sant Sohan Singh and Havldar Mohan Singh to rediscover it. According to Hindu mythology, Hemkund or Lokpal as it is also known, is where Lakshman had done his penance. Hemkund is located 15 km from Govindghat by trek. Govinghat is the gateway to the Bhyundar or Lakshman Ganga valley.
Trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund sahib is around 5 kms and is steep. Return to Ghangaria for overnight stay.

Day 07 - Ghangaria –Excursion to Valley of Flower
Morning after relaxed breakfast at the hotel or camp proceed to visit Valley of Flower - discovered by Frank Smith while on the Expedition to Mt. Kamet. This picturesque Valley covered by rare species of flowers & a wide variety of Butterflies, Musk Deer, Thar & serow are found here. Trek to Valley of Flower takes around 3 hours walk each way.
Overnight at hotel / camp at Ghangria.

Day 08 - Ghangaria - Badrinath
Morning after an early breakfast descend to Govinghat. On arrival at Govindghat drive to Badrinath around 22 Kms. Check into the Hotel on arrival. Later in the evening visit Badrinath Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

Badrinath is one of the 'Four Dhams' and one of the most celebrated pilgrimage center of the country. badrinath is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, surrounded on either side by the Nar and narayan mountains with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a spectacular backdrop.

Day 9 - Badrinath to Rishikesh – drive around 9 hours
Morning fter breakfast at the hotel drive to Rishikesh and check into the hotel on arrival for overnight stay.

Rishikesh is known as the 'place of sages'. At the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is believed that God by the name of 'Hrishikesh' had appeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth the place derived its name. It is the starting point for the Char dham pilgrims and Hemkund sahib. Rishikesh is also center for meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism.

Day 10 - Rishikesh to Delhi – drive 6/7 hours
Morning visit Lakshman Jhula, Geeta Bhawan Temple After Breakfast, Visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing.

Afternoon drive to Delhi in around 6/7 hours. Arrive and check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11 – Depart Delhi
Transfer to the Airport intime to board homebound flight.
