The 130 kms. long coastline of Goa is set on the golden Konkan coast along the Arabian Sea. Famous for its white sand beaches and mesmeric sunsets, this state has been renowned as India's most irresistible destinations. The regions easygoing ambience, good food and salubrious climate make it a popular spot to unwind and enjoy the simple, undemanding pleasures of life on the beach. Separated from the rest of India by the jungle covered hills of Western Ghats, Goa's heartland and most densely populated area is the alluvial strip inland from the beaches - a lush patchwork of paddy field, coconut plantations, white washed churches and gently meandering rivers.

This city is one of the most dazzling tourist mosaics. Goa combines old Portuguese architecture with a history that abounds in Indian mythology. A river cruise down the Mandovi river with a live display of music and dance by folk singers in traditional Goan costumes is extremely enjoyable. Goa also has a rich collection of churches. The most famous ones being the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, St.Catherine's Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus. There are a few other visits such as the ones to The Aguada Fort and Vasco Da Gama that any visitor must undertake.
