The romantic Lake

Shikarbadi was the hunting lodge of the Mewar Royal Family for
centuries & is situated 4 kms outside Udaipur in breathtaking
countryside.
Eklingji in the village of Kailash Puri 22 kms north-east of
Udaipur. It is a tiny temple complex with 108 shrines dedicated
to Lord Shiva, the deity of the rulers of Mewar and date from
the 16th century, although this has been holy site associated
with Lord Shiva since ancient times.
Nagda - close to
Kailashpuri down the rough country road, Nagda once a Solanki
strong-hold now in ruins is one of the most ancient places in
Mewar dating to the 11th Century.

back fighting till the death.
Mount motor-cycles (Honda and Royal Enfield) for the ride through
beautiful hilly countryside to the artists village - Shilpgram
8 kms away. This cultural center represents art forms and performing
arts from different states of India. Visit the different stalls
and craftsmen ending the afternoon with a half hour cultural dance
performance.
Visit a school of miniature paintings which are unique in their
liveliness, both through the way they depict human figures and
in their brilliant primary colours. Continue to visit the bazaars
- a vivid sprawl of little shops selling the tie-and-die fabrics
for which the city is famed, pichhvais , brightly
coloured folk toys and enamel & silver jewelry.
